The Identity
The name “Sunbird Trust” and its logo were created by Ryan Lobo, trustee, Sunbird Trust. The sunbird, a lively creature found all over India’s North East represents the potential and energy of the people involved with this initiative. The colour yellow represents the spreading of the light of knowledge, education, health and communal harmony. Green symbolizes the states of the North East, their vibrant forests, history and cultures. The wings of the sunbird extend beyond the circle characterizing transcendence of the people over violence, illiteracy and poverty.
The initial logo created by Ryan was further improved by Sunbird Trust team member P. N. Shanavas and given its final shape by Sunil Thottupurath.
